Halal Gelatin- A Natural And Safe Way To Stay Healthier
Gelatin is a product that is widely used in many food items
and even the cosmetic products. It is used in 90 percent of the bakery items
including desserts, ice creams, cakes, yogurt, sweets and other items.
The gelatin is a very important product in maintaining the taste of the food
but the major concern is that this chemical product is mainly made from the raw
materials of the animals like pigs, so it is not permissible for the Muslims to
consume it. The majority of the Muslims around the world are not aware of this
problem and they consume the products made of gelatin.
It is quite clear that the gelatin made from pig bones and pork
skin is haram and prohibited in Islam. Muslims are not required to stop eating
the food items in which gelatin is used but it is necessary that they consume
those items that contain halal gelatin.
How It Is Healthy?
It is that kind of gelatin that is particularly made for the
Muslim. Its use is not only made obligatory by the Islam but its consumption is
also necessary to stay healthier. It is very clear that healthy food cannot be
made from the unhealthy products. So eating healthy food is important for
staying healthier. This permissible gelatin is completely safe and healthy and
can be used in everything in which standard gelatin is used like
- Jellies
- Sweets
- Marsh mellows
- Juices
- Chewing gums
- Cakes
- Yogurt
- Chocolate
- Cheese
How is it Safe?
This gelatin is derived from the halal animals including
cows and goats. These animals are not only halal but it is also important that
these animals should be slaughtered in the slaughter houses operated by Muslims
under the laws of Islam. It is therefore not only good for health, but is also
safe to use. The taste is also delicious so is used as the best alternative to
the haram gelatin. Not only the gelatin made from pigs is haram but, is also
haram if it is made from the animals like cows and goats if they are not
slaughtered under the Islamic law. If the gelatin is made from the unhealthy
animal, it results in the contamination of the food in which it is used. The
gelatin usually available in the supermarkets of the non Muslim countries is
not halal. So it is the responsibility of the Muslims to check the products
they are consuming is halal or not.
